What we believe

Biblical Teaching
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and is an invaluable tool in teaching us how to live. It is through the scriptures that we learn what it means to fully love God and others in the actions of our daily lives. We believe that personal Bible study and daily reading should be the practice for every Christian.

Worship
Worship is our most intimate expression of love for our Heavenly Father. Ephesians chapter five tells us, “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (NIV) We believe that life of love is expressed in our worship of God, both corporately as we gather together and individually in our daily lives.
(1 Chronicles 16:26; John 4:23-24)

Evangelism
We are a missional people. We believe that because we have experienced God’s love for us we are compelled by love to share his salvation with all who will hear. We believe that God has called us to make disciples (mature believers) in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth by all means possible.
(Matthew 28:18-21)

Prayer
We believe that prayer is a vital element in developing an intimacy with God. Jesus nurtured his intimacy with his Heavenly Father through constant prayer. We believe that through prayer God reveals his will to us for our lives. We believe that the word of God tells us that prayer is powerful and effective in the lives of those who believe.
(Ephesians 6:18; James 5:13-16)

Families & Community
We believe that God intended the family to be the foundational structure of society to develop love and community. It is within the family that God intends us to learn to live in harmony with one another and where love for God and neighbor are instilled. It is our desire to nurture the family through the ministry of the church and therefore impact our community in a positive and meaningful way.
(Deuteronomy 6:6-9)

Friendships
We believe that no man is an island unto themselves. We all need each other. We desire to develop deep and lasting relationships through which people feel loved and can continue to develop and grow as Christ intended.
(Proverbs 27:17)
