We strive to be visible representations of an invisible God!
We believe that we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ to our world.
As such we affirm four Scriptural truths in our youth ministry:
- We are made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:27) We are called to be reflections of God’s glory in our world, and this is only accomplished through an ever growing, developing relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
- We are called to be witnesses for God. (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:18-20) At InVisible, we strive to be a witness for God in not only our words, but in the way we live our everyday lives. Our teaching times focus on discipling our youth, so that they can express what they believe and why they believe it.
- We are called to be part of the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We do not want our youth to only participate in our activities but rather to realize that they are a part of something bigger than themselves. As such, we encourage our youth to get connected with other parts of the congregation and participate in ministries and leadership outside of the youth ministry as well as in the youth ministry.
- We are called to be invisible. (John 3:30, Galatians 2:20) We believe, like John the Baptist, “He must become greater, and we must become less.” We believe that as we grow in our relationship with Christ, people should begin to see Christ shining through us so that it is no longer ourselves that others see, but that it is Christ in us.
All of these things are lived out in all that we do here at InVisible Youth Ministries, from our fun activities such as: Teen Camp, Empower, MAX, Family Canoe Trip, and lock-ins to our Wednesday night services each week! InVisible is a fun and exciting environment for your youth to learn how to be a Christian leader today, because as we learn from Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for others in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” We affirm this passage and want our youth to live as examples to all people of what it is like to be a Christ follower!
