What types of groups are Connect Groups?

Connect Groups will be what are referred to as “sermon-based” groups. Sermon-based groups are just that, based on the content of the weekly sermon series.

Each week when you enter our worship service you will receive a handout that includes an outline of the morning message along with scripture references. At the bottom of the handout will be study questions and related scriptures for you to review prior to attending your Connect Group.

If you miss a service for any reason, you will be able to download the handout on our website.

Sermon-based groups offer us several advantages:

1. Combining the weekend sermon with a Connect Group Bible study provides repeated exposure to the material covered, which increases the potential of life-application and transformation.
2. Group leaders are freed from the burden of hunting down new curriculum ideas and it eliminates the cost of purchasing books and materials for all the groups.
3. Having all Connect Groups study the same material creates a wider sense of unity and common direction.
