At SFN Church we believe that just as Jesus “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many”, so we are called to serve and to give of our lives for the sake of others.

We do this through the many ministry opportunities that are provided for serving others in the church, but then again…every church does that. At SFN Church we are passionate about serving our community and making a difference in the world.

As a result we provide many opportunities for groups within our church to serve in our community as we volunteer and contribute to organizations such as Newborns in Need, The Crisis Pregnancy Center, Adopt-a-Case Worker of the Missouri Department of Family Services, Nazarene World Missions, and many more.

We also seek to make a difference in our community through events such as our annual “Winter Free-for-All” and “Back-to-School Bash.”

Winter Free-for-All

Our “Winter Free-for-All” is a free garage sale held the first Saturday of December each year. What is a free garage sale? Well, it is the same concept as a garage sale, but we give it all away for free! Each year our facility transforms into one of the largest rummage sales you have ever seen, with items such as clothing for all ages, household items, appliances, furniture, toys, and just about anything you can imagine. We collect good useable items from members of our congregation and from generous people in our community as well. Through this event we are able to provide basic needs for families in our community who otherwise might have to make the decision between providing Christmas for their family or meeting their basic needs. Often times families are not only able to meet their basic needs, but are also able to find items to provide Christmas presents for their family also.

Back-to-School Bash

Our annual “Back-to-School Bash” is the first Wednesday night in August each year. Through this event we seek to provide a fun environment where kids can come and not only enjoy a good time with food, games and inflatables, but also get a free new backpack filled with all the basic supplies they need for starting school. We also partner with several hair salons in the community to provide free back-to-school haircuts so the kids in our community can walk into school that first day with their heads held high and with all the confidence they need for a successful new year.
